Simon Sinek in the video “How We Combat Loneliness” says that it is my wise to inspire people to do the things that inspire them so that each of us together can change our world for the better. He further adds that he is a sucker for stories of sacrifice and giving, and is equally drawn to artists and the military. He considers that people working as artists as well as people working in the military are both the same, they’re both compelled, they both went into it knowing that they wouldn't get rich, there is an intense camaraderie with others in their field and they do it strictly so that others may benefit. One of the things that he has seen in all the veterans that he has met, whether they love the military or not, all of them miss the camaraderie, they miss the fact that even if they hate someone, that person will risk their life to save theirs. They know that they're stronger because of the group, they recognize that they're weak by themselves but they're part of a machine that makes them strong. For them, the opportunity to give themselves is the most fulfilling thing in the world and when they separate and go into the business world which is predominantly selfish and lonely, they miss the camaraderie and feel lonely. The ones that really get themselves healthy again are the ones who find support groups of people who can relate to them, just to know that somebody is out there who understands gives you the energy to keep going and it's the same for businesses. One of the most important things for military people who are adjusting is that they don't need to have PTSD, they don't need to have diagnosis as they separate and go into private sector, they need those kinds of support groups of people who know what they are going through, know what it's like and gives the courage to do this together.
